Mum who killed her own 2 kids says she feels no remorse for killing them

Remember the story about the mother who killed two of her children and left their bodies in her kitchen freezer? Well, she  has pleaded guilty to their murders saying but says she feels no remorse for killing them. She said: “I don’t feel no remorse for the death of them demons.”

Mitchelle Blair 36, of Detroit, Michigan, without remorse admitted abusing her 13-year-old daughter Stoni Blair and nine-year-old son Stephen Berry, before their deaths. The bodies of the children were discovered in a deep freezer at her apartment on May 24 when bailiffs arrived to evict her. The mother has two surviving children aged eight and 17-years-old.

As she appeared in court, Blair said she killed her children after claiming they repeatedly “gang-raped” her youngest child.

Blair however, did not report the alleged sexual abuse and never witnessed it first hand.
“She raped my son,” Blair said about Stoni. “I intentionally killed her.”
“It wasn’t an accident?” Judge Dana Hathaway asked.
“No, not at all and if I had the chance to do it again, I would,” Blair said.
“I don’t feel no remorse for the death of them demons.”
Blair said she concealed the bodies so she could take care of her surviving children “as long as possible".nStephen died in August 2012, his sister May 2013.

The mother admitted strangling Stoni and Stephen before suffocating them by putting bags over their heads until they lost consciousness.

The autopsies revealed both children were malnourished, although Blair admitted only to starving Stoni, whom she fed one bowl of porridge a day.

Blair will receive a mandatory life sentence for the murders of her children after she voluntarily pleaded guilty.

Presidency orders VC, registrar of the Fed University of Otuoke to refund overpaid salaries

The Presidency, through the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, has instructed the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Otuoke, Bayelsa State, Prof. Mobolaji Aluko, to refund over payment of salaries running into millions of naira.

The Registrar of the university, David Suowari, was also directed to refundthe sum of N130, 692.71 per month in excess of his due salary.

The over payments were said to have been discovered during the commission’s visit to the institution on May 12, 2015 to carry out an inspection of FUO’s remuneration practices vis-a-vis the extant government’s pay policy.

The VC and the registrar were accused of appropriating certain allowances to themselves which were not approved by the government.
These concerns were raised in a letter from the NSIWC to Aluko, signed for the Chairman of the Commission by the Director of Compensation, Chike Ogbechie.
The commission said,
“The findings of the inspection in respect of your institution (Federal University, Otuoke) were as follow:
“The Vice-Chancellor was being paid total emoluments of N1,970,476.76 monthly, whereas he should not earn more than N922,810.23 if he were paid furniture allowance en bloc earlier, or N1,043,176.79 if he were being paid furniture allowance.
“Much of the difference was attributed to certain allowances which were not approved by the government.”
In the case of the registrar, the commission said he was being paid N130,692.71 in excess of his due salary of N502,580.25.
The commission also said the university disaggregated its staff salaries against the government’s policy of pay consolidation.
The NSIWC, therefore, directed the university to stop “the wrongful practices” and comply with relevant rules and rates.
The commission added,
“We hereby direct the vice-chancellor and the registrar to refund the cumulative overpayments made to them.
“You are to report to the commission in writing, your compliance with this directive within four weeks of this letter.”
Prof. Mobolaji Aluko became the Vice-Chancellor of the university in February 2011 and he said (in a text message to our Punch correspondent) that there was neither disaggregation of salaries nor overpayment of salaries.
The vice-chancellor said,
“Rather, pension and health insurance allowances were due to three of us, Diaspora Vice-Chancellors who are on Sabbatical from our foreign universities, and co-paid monthly in naira to us for payment to those foreign universities.
“Without that concession occurring, our own local salaries would have been wiped out completely, and we could not have accepted the job.”
“However, the need for accountability is welcome, and Salaries and Wages Commission will be fully reconciled to the full facts,” the VC stated.

Erectile dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is defined as the inability to gain or sustain an erection. This is an issue that a lot of men have to deal with. There are a number of Myths surrounding ED that makes it difficult to understand and discourage some from seeking out treatment.

One of the most common myths it that Erectile Dysfunction means that you are not attracted to your partner.

This is not the case, more often than not ED is a physiological symptom. This means that Erectile Dysfunction is a side effect of another prevailing condition like diabetes, hypertension or any condition that affect blood flow.

A lot of people are under the impression that ED only affects older men. This is not the case, young men can suffer from ED as well. It is true that most cases of ED are found in older men but this is only because conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure are common amongst older men. Young men who suffer from these conditions will likely suffer from ED.

There is a common myth that if you wear tight trousers or ride a bicycle you will suffer from ED. This is absolutely false. There is no link between these acts and ED but wearing tight trouser might affect fertility.

The important thing to remember is that Erectile Dysfunction does not signal the end of your sex life. There are treatments and therapies than can help. Mens Clinic Lagos offers a range of treatments for Erectile Dysfunction, Premature Ejaculation, Sexually Transmitted Infection, Low Libidoand General Check-up.

Emmanuel Adebayor's mum and brother, Rotimi, beg for forgiveness

Emmanuel Adebayor’s mother Alice and his younger brother, Rotimi have apologized him following a visit of a delegation from Nigeria. The delegation, who are family members and friends, and have been following the drama happening online in the Adebayor household, met with Emmanuel and his siblings- in Didjole and Avedji in Lome, Togo in a bid to settle the rift between them.

According to a member of the delegation, Emmanuel Folorunsho, who confirmed this to Sunday Sunsports in a phone chat, Adebayor’s mother was remorseful and even prayed for his son but the football star is yet to accept their plea owing to some reasons which he wouldn’t like to reveal.

“We met Alice at the market in Koviakope where she sells kitchen utensils. She was quite surprised to see us. She presented her own case and prayed for his son.
Although the former Gunners striker and his mother didn’t see each other, she had reasons to ask him to forgive and let peace reign in the family. Soon after, we met Sheyi and conveyed the message to him”
Emmanuel's brother Rotimi, who reportedly survived a suicide attempt 10 days ago, was at the meeting in Adebayor’s house in Didjole. When Sunday Sunsports put a call through to the Royale FC of Benin striker, he confirmed that his elder brother, Emmanuel invited him and he obliged.
“I was at home in Avedji when he called me to join the peace meeting. I prostrated to him for long hours, begging and seeking for forgiveness. I am really frustrated now and I really expect him to pardon us now”
Sunday Sunsports asked Rotimi about his reaction when Emmanuel Adebayor refused to blink while insisting that Rotimi is unwilling to change his attitude. Rotimi, who claimed to have been psychologically affected by the rancour said he only want his brother to forget the past.
“I am very ill now and I need money to treat myself. I also need cash to pay for my house rent, which is already due for payment. I asked him to assist me but he refused. I hope my plea would not be for nothing”

Emmanuel Adebayor seems to be ready to fight on and ignore the plea tendered by Rotimi and his mum. However, Rotimi reveals that Lucia, the last child of the family is the only sibling Emmanuel Adebayor holds no grudge against.

Kinsmen to go spiritual over crisis
After the failed attempt to resolve the lingering crisis between Emmanuel Adebayor, the super rich son of Igbaye, Osun State and his siblings, the four-man delegation from Nigeria are leaving no stone unturned in their bid to create a peaceful situation between the two parties.

Sunday Sunsports has confirmed that the delegation and other members of the family in both Igbaye, where Adebayor’s father hailed from and Ekusa, his mother’s hometown, are now making frantic efforts to consult spiritualists as a way to combat the crisis.

Emmanuel Folorunsho who was in the team that met with Emmanuel Adebayor in Lome, added his own view in support of the move.
“It is true that we have plans to meet with spiritualists because we have met the two parties and there is a deadlock at the moment. We cannot fold our arms and leave the situation in a messy state neither are we going to wait for it to get messier.”
“All I know is that prayer is the key and we’ll employ that to solve the situation. We hope God Almighty will speak to them and a lasting peace will reign.”
Last week, the Onigbaye of Igbaye, His Royal Majesty, Oba Joseph Morounfoye Okunlola stated that the family have met and consulted Ogun, the Yoruba god of iron concerning the situation in Emmanuel Adebayor’s family. He went on to say that they must appease the gods if their situation is to change.

Sunday Sunsports called the Monarch to seek his opinion about the reports presented to him by the delegation when they returned to Igbaye from Lome, Togo.

He backed the idea while noting that peace is paramount at this stage as he also hopes to invite some members of the family for another meeting.
“I have received their report and I must confess that they have done their best. However, we’re still in it and hopefully the matter would be solved amicably soon.”
The Monarch also revealed that they are likely to make a second trip to Ghana but the elders and close family members would be in the second delegation when they decide to visit Emmanuel Adebayor.

Opari! Same sex marriage declared legal in all 50 states of America

The court’s action marks the culmination of an unprecedented upheaval in public opinion and the nation’s jurisprudence. Advocates called it the most pressing civil rights issue of modern times, while critics said the courts had sent the country into uncharted territory by changing the traditional definition of marriage.

“Under the Constitution, same-sex couples seek in marriage the same legal treatment as opposite-sex couples, and it would disparage their choices and diminish their personhood to deny them this right,” Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in the majority opinion.

He was joined in the ruling by the court’s liberal justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen G. Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.

All four of the court’s most conservative members — Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justices Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas and Samuel A. Alito Jr. — dissented and each wrote a separate opinion, saying the court had usurped a power that belongs to the people.

Senate's recess and matters arising

Senate's recess and matters arising

Press statement from the media office of the Senate President. Read below...
The adjournment of Senate's plenary to July 21, was meant to give the Senate Ad-Hoc Committees on Legislative Agenda and Review of the Senate's Finances time to conclude their work and submit their reports. The two committees were given one-week to submit their reports.
However, the Senate assured that it will reconvene at any time before the adjourned date to consider any matter of urgent national importance or to attend to any national assignment requiring its attention.
The Senate's Ad-hoc Committee on Financial review is the first time the Senate is setting up a body to review its own salaries, allowances, and the overhead cost of running the Senate with a view to realigning them to reflect the present economic situation in the country.

It could be recalled that the National Assembly had slashed its 2015 budget to N120billion from N150billion as a result of dwindling Federal Government's revenue.

The cut was part of the National Assembly's belt-tightening measures in view of the current economic realities in the country.

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, had during the inauguration of the committee observed that the subject of reduction in cost of governance had been on the front burner of national discourse for a long time because of its extremely sensitive nature.

Saraki pledged that the Senate under his leadership would make "financial conservatism" its watchword.

The Senate President said: "There still persists the need to project clarity, accountability and transparency in all legislative matters and legislators’ welfare.

"The 8th Senate under our watch recognizes the concerns raised by Nigerians about the cost of running office most especially with the economic challenges facing our nation.

"The Senate will be more transparent regarding all public funds spent for the purpose of paying salaries and allowances of legislators and ensure that distinction is sufficiently made between what a legislator actually earns and what is spent to run and implement legislative business and committee activities.

"The watchword in our financial issues will be fiscal conservatism. It is therefore on this arm that the committee is mandated to carry out thorough fiscal examination on the Senate finances with the aim of  coming up with the best cost-effective regime in the 8th Senate."

Footballer Cavani sent off for slapping Chile defender who 'inserted finger into his anus' (photos)

Why would you insert your finger inside another man's anus? That's what Chilean defender Gonzalo Jara did yesterday during a match with Uruguay. He patted Uruguay star Edinson Cavani on the butt then inserted a finger into his butt. Cavani turned and flicked a hand into Jara's face, who fell on the floor like he had been kicked. Cavani was sent off after the incident because he already had one yellow card. The match officials didn't see what the defender had done to Cavani. But after the match, post match cameras showed what had happened and Uruguay coach Oscar Tabarez is asking Jara to be sanctioned, saying Cavani had been the victim of provocation.
